I sketched this guy almost 500 days ago. Then I transferred him to a canvas, and had him stare at me as I completed over 108 other pieces. Well, this week was his week! 

Male peafowl are the only ones with these elaborate tail feathers, and don't develop them until about 3 years old. Small nanostructures on their feathers' barbules reflect different wavelengths of light depending on how they’re spaced, resulting in the iridescent shimmer.

This original piece is a 16"x40"x1.5" on a stretched cotton canvas, and shimmers with metallic acrylics -  like a peacock should! Only one available! Email if you have questions or want more information. All Brandi Wilson Art pieces come with certificates of authenticity.
